EINAR SCHEVING is a drummer/composer from Reykjavik, Iceland. He started playing professionally at the age of fifteen and soon became one of the country's foremost drummers. As a mainstay of the Icelandic music scene, Einar has played on well over 100 albums with some of the country’s leading artists. Einar holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Miami, where he taught part-time upon graduation in 2002. Einar has been gaining considerable attention for his compositional vision and is a three-time winner of the Icelandic Music Awards, including two for Best Album of the Year: Cycles in 2007 and Land míns föður (The Land of My Father) in 2011. Both albums received rave reviews in Iceland and the foreign press.
